From December 6 to 8, 2025, the inaugural Boao Vocational Education Development Conference was successfully held in Boao, Hainan, under the theme “High-Level International Cooperation, High-Quality Industry-Education Integration.”
The event attracted nearly 400 institutions and over 60 enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions, gathering more than 2,000 professional representatives. It featured 14 forums and 2 national-level competitions, providing a platform for experts to engage in in-depth exchanges and practical collaboration on core issues such as the globalization of vocational education and deep industry-education integration .

As a supporting unit of the conference, Lin Feng, Vice President of ZJIET, was invited to attend the opening ceremony. He was accompanied by heads and faculty representatives from the School of Digital Finance, the School of Cooperative Economics, and the School of International Education, who participated in the opening ceremony and related forum activities.

During the conference, the 2025 Asia-Pacific Vocational College Influence Index Star-Rated Institutions list was announced. Recognized for its comprehensive strength and international impact, ZJIET was awarded the titles of “2025 Four-Star Asia-Pacific Vocational College in the Influence Index” and “2025 Exemplary Institution for Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation.” One of the institute’s international case studies was selected as an outstanding achievement case, and the institute received the conference’s “Outstanding Organization Award”.

As the Vice-Chair institution of the Higher Vocational Education Governance System Construction Development Alliance, Vice President Lin Feng was invited to attend the alliance’s 2025 annual meeting. He shared experiences on empowering the modernization of higher vocational institution governance with AI and discussed future trends in the internationalization of vocational education. At this meeting, the institute was recognized as a “Model Institution for Higher Vocational Education Governance Modernization”.
Faculty representatives from the School of Digital Finance participated in the “2025 Symposium on High-Quality Development of Industry-Education Integration” and the “2025 Working Meeting of the National Accounting Industry Industry-Education Integration Community.”


As the standing Vice-Chair institution of the community, Li Guohui, Dean of the School of Digital Finance, presided over a special report session on “Digital-Intelligence Synergy Driving the Development of ‘New Double High’ Majors.”
The representatives also discussed cutting-edge topics such as the construction of professional curriculum resource libraries and new practices of AI empowering finance and business teaching, sharing the institute’s innovative explorations and practical experiences in digital-intelligence transformation. The institute was awarded the “Demonstration Award for Characteristic Industry Colleges in Finance and Business Majors”at these events .
At the“Belt and Road Intangible Cultural Heritage and Cultural Tourism Development Seminar,” Si Yinxia, Dean of the School of International Education, delivered a speech focusing on the integration of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) inheritance and innovation with cultural tourism. She shared the institute’s practices, including the international development of ICH skill courses, faculty and student exchange programs, and the joint development of cross-border internship bases, highlighting the institute’s distinctive path in promoting the synergistic development of living ICH heritage and local industries .

The conference also featured a Sino-foreign university and enterprise achievement exhibition, where over 60 domestic and international institutions showcased the latest applications in areas like smart technology, intangible cultural heritage tourism, and digital teaching. The institute was invited to set up an exhibition booth, displaying its experiences and practices in talent cultivation, industry-education integration, and international cooperation. It also organized thematic exhibitions on intangible cultural heritage tea art and cultural creative product sales, which received widespread acclaim from participants .
This event represented a significant step for the institute in actively integrating into the global landscape of vocational education development and continuously expanding its international exchanges and cooperation. Moving forward, the institute will leverage the outcomes of the conference to further deepen external exchanges, expand international industry-education integration, and inject new momentum into serving regional industrial upgrading and cultivating high-quality, internationally competent skilled talents .
