As the winter solstice arrives and the sun gains strength, ushering in a new year's turn, on the evening of December 26th, the school's Dream and Glory 2025 New Year's Eve Welcome Party was held in the report hall of the Vocational Training and Integration Building. More than 1,200 people attended the event, including the school's political and administrative leadership, all middle-level cadres, as well as representatives from the faculty and students. Other students and teachers watched the online live broadcast, with a total viewership of 870,000, creating a synchronized resonance both online and offline to jointly paint a new chapter for the new year.
The party's secretary, Lao Chiming, delivered a New Year's greeting speech. As the representative of the school's political and administrative leadership, he expressed his heartfelt thanks and best New Year wishes to all the teachers and students who have devoted their efforts to the school's development throughout the year, as well as various organizations and people from all sectors of society. He reviewed the achievements made by the school in areas such as party building guidance, education teaching, teaching staff, youth achievements, and service education in 2024. He also expressed his hope that all teachers and students would be confident and continue to forge ahead with an attitude of seizing the moment. They should continue to exceed themselves and contribute economic and trade power to promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation under modernization.
The party was conducted in a combination of awards ceremonies and artistic performances. First, the school leadership awarded outstanding economic and trade youth who excelled in patriotism, inspiration, truth-seeking, and practice in 2024. They encouraged the students to work hard, innovate confidently, be resolute and brave, and become forerunners, pioneers, and contributors at the forefront of the times.
The party was divided into three chapters: New Chapter of Splendor, Youthful Ambitions, and Time Flies Like a Song. The opening was preceded by a warm-up performance by a band with four consecutive songs. A New Year's greeting short film Traveling with Economics and Trade set the mood for the celebration. The classical dance Tea Search interpretated the beauty of tea art with graceful movements. The recitation program Light Tower brought by representative middle-level teachers and students displayed the distinctive characteristics of teachers and the high-spirited outlook of our teachers and students through a dialogue between them.
The song-and-dance performance Born to Fly sang about the clarity and fearlessness of youth; the performance of Catching Fish while Watching Lanterns integrated traditional Yue Opera with martial arts to showcase cultural confidence and inheritance; the original sketch Anti-fraud Handbook enhanced anti-fraud awareness in laughter and built a safe campus; the national dance Mountain and River Map was powerful and expressive of the grandeur of our country; Yearly Youthfulness combined face-changing art with folk music accompaniment; street dance Once Again ignited cross-year passion with cool dance steps; and the performance song What You Want Will Be Realized carried forward-looking expectations for a better future and announced a new atmosphere for the new year.
The teacher fashion show program Economic and Trade Fashion Show featured frontline teachers from student affairs, management, teaching, etc., showing a unique fashion show; the teacher-student duet Teacher or Student interpreted unforgettable memories between teachers and students with a warm melody; the ethnic dance A Cup of Wine presented by teachers alongside Uyghur students displayed the exotic flavor of ethnic minorities.

In the final act of Blessing This Moment, all leaders, teachers, and students gathered to celebrate the New Year together, cutting a cake, making new wishes, pouring gold glitter, and lighting up the chapter of 2025.
The closing song Lovely China performed by all teachers from the Marxism College brought the atmosphere of the party to a climax. All teachers and students present sang a heartfelt paean to their motherland, wishing for its prosperity and development.
Adhering to the concept of teacher-student gathering, this party created a new record for teacher participation with more than 600 cast members involved in its creation, including nearly 70 teachers as performers. As we bid farewell to this year and usher in a new beginning, all teachers and students in our school will continue to work together in 2025 to seize opportunities, work earnestly on practical matters, overcome difficulties, forge ahead in creating high-quality development for our school’s career, and jointly write a new chapter in building a high-level vocational university.
