The opening ceremony of the Chinese + E-commerce Operation training course of the China-Philippines Silk Road Institute of Economics and Trade was successfully held

On the morning of December 7, the opening ceremony of the Chinese + E-commerce Operation training course of China-Philippines Silk Road Institute of Economics and Trade was jointly held by ZJIET, Cavite State University of the Philippines and the China-Philippines Silk Road College Foundation. It was a video conference held online.

The ZJIET Vice President Jiang Lijun, the Cavite State Vice President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, and the Director of its International Department Dr. Veronica attended the opening ceremony. The meeting was presided over by the director of the ZJIET Center for International Exchange and Cooperation Miss Shi Yinxia. The heads of relevant departments of the two universities, teacher representatives and all the trainees in the Philippines participated in the meeting.

Jiang Lijun pointed out in her speech that the Chinese + e-commerce operation skills training is the first vocational education and training exchange activity that ZJIET has ever run for Cavite State University of the Philippines. This training course is an important measure of the university to implement the spirit of the world vocational education and deepen the Belt and Road service. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen the innovative and pragmatic cooperation based on the principles of complementary advantages, equality, mutual benefits and common development when build hand-in-hand a high-quality cross-border e-commerce talent training platform and when promote together the in-depth cooperation between universities, enterprises and governments of the two sides. In a win-win situation by integrating the international industry and education and the school-enterprise cooperation, the training course may contribute to the economic development of China and the Philippines.

In her speech, Dr. Agnes thanked ZJIET for its careful preparations, noting that the e-commerce landscape is undergoing a significant transformation, with small and medium enterprises in the Philippines entering a borderless and connected market. In this age of instant connectivity and unprecedented technological advances, the potentials for businesses to thrive on a global scale had never been greater. She hoped that students from Cavite State University of the Philippines might actively participate in the change and get involved with the e-commerce without national borders.

At the opening ceremony, Xu Huijian, dean of the School of Information Technology, gave a detailed introduction to the teaching contents, faculty team, class schedules and assessment standards of the training program.

The teaching team of the Chinese + E-commerce Operation training course is composed of teachers from the School of Information Technology. The contents cover three major topics, namely, e-commerce platform, new media operation, big data and e-commerce application analysis. The courses will be taught in the forms of live broadcast + video broadcast. All the classes of the three subjects will be taught and tutored online in English within 2 weeks. The trainees who complete the learning tasks and pass the assessment of every course as required will receive a certificate of skill learning and credits issued by ZJIET.
