On April 24th, Mr. Pasi Halmari,director of the International Education Department of the Finland Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences , Dr. Jari Luomakoski and Mr. Zhao Han, director of the school’s China Program, paid a visit to ZJIET. Jiang Lijun, member of the ZJIET CPC Committee and ZJIET vice president, met with the visiting guests. Also attending the meeting were leaders of ZJIET Academic Affairs Office, International Exchange and Cooperation Center, School of Information Technology, School of Cultural Tourism and the faculty representatives of the China-Finland teaching program.
Ms. Jiang extended a warm welcome to the Finnish guests and briefly introduced the general situation of ZJIET and updated its education internationalization program. The ZJIET vice president pointed out that, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, as one of the top universities of its kind in Finland in talent cultivation, shares a lot with ZJIET in teaching philosophy. Through the unremitting efforts of both sides, the Haaga-Helia Joint College of Digital Technology and Operations has been granted official approval. We hope that the two sides will continue to work closely in student admissions, focusing on innovative measures and pushing for actual results. ZJIET will continue to work on the Joint School as our contribution to the cultivation of high-quality international talents with digital skills and to the common education development in the two countries.
Dr. Pasi Halmari expressed his thankfulness to the ZJIET leaders for their warm reception and congratulated on the achievements the school has obtained. He pointed out that the Finnish side highly recognizes the ZJIET talent training mode of deeply integrating industry and education and is full of confidence in and expectations for the prospect of the Joint School. Dr. Jari Luomakoski stressed in his speech that the Finnish side will actively promote the work of the Joint School, hoping that both sides could work together to improve the quality of the Joint School, to continuously deepen the cooperative relationship, and to broaden the cooperation fields and raise the cooperation level.
During the exchange, the two sides also discussed and reached consensus on the such issues as the annual work plan of the Joint School, the 2023 talent training programs and teaching arrangement, the mutual exchange and training of the teachers and students, and the diploma education upgrading programs.
During their stay, the Finnish guests visited the campus training base of the E-commerce major and the Hotel Management and Digital Operation major.
