The workshop was a combination of lectures from the Western Australian experts and exchanges and discussions among the Chinese teachers. The special lectures, problem analyses and practical case studies presented by the Western Australian experts centered on four topics, namely, classroom management, the art of raising questions, curriculum design and teaching strategies. An in-depth experience sharing and interactive exchange also took place between the Australian trainers and the Chinese teachers, who, organized into offline learning groups based on their work units, successfully completed a series of discussions on the contents learned from the program. Based on the lectures, they fulfilled learning tasks in such areas as classroom questions design, review warm-up, teaching objectives sharing, and teaching strategies analysis and were able to apply some of the typical cases in their everyday teaching. In doing so, the Chinese attendees vividly showcased the advanced ideas and innovative practices of the province’s college teachers in the classroom teaching reform and talent training.

The success of the first teaching workshop is important to increase the absorption of the teaching philosophy of the TAFE program of Western Australia. It also helps with discovering and solving problems in teaching, sharing teaching & innovation experiences, and exchanging teaching innovation results. Exchanges of this kind effectively upgrade the level of international teaching. Next, as the chair institution of the Consortium, ZJIET will continue to promote teacher training, talent cultivation, academic research in different fields and formats, to advance the teachers' teaching skills and personnel training quality, and enhance the high-quality collaborative development of vocational education in the two provinces.
