The School of Digital Trade has eight majors, namely, marketing, international economy and trade, cross-border E-commerce, modern logistics management, business data analysis and application, applied English, industrial and commercial enterprise management, and applied Japanese. Among them, the marketing major is evaluated as a national backbone major, a provincial advantage major, provincial demonstrative major and a provincial characteristic major. The major of international economy and trade is a national backbone major, provincial advantage major, provincial characteristics major and is included in the central government sponsored program of enhancing the development capability of professional service industry of higher vocational schools. The major of cross-border E-commerce is the predecessor of international trade and practice (cross-border E-commerce direction). ZJIET is the first higher vocational college in Zhejiang Province to recruit cross-border E-commerce majored students. Modern logistics management is a backbone major of ZJIET. Business data analysis and application is a pole major of the national high-level E-commerce professional group. The applied English major is a provincial characteristic major during the Twelfth and the Thirteenth Five Year Plans. The major of industrial and commercial enterprise management is the characteristic major of the national supply and marketing cooperative system. The applied Japanese major is a growing backbone major included in the ZJIET Thirteenth Five Year Plan.
The CPC construction leads innovation and broadens horizon. The school strives to create a new pattern of professional development under the leadership of the party. The program of “serving teachers and students to promote the CPC construction, bringing technology to far-reached rural areas, and linking to create characteristics was selected as one of the first batch of provincial collegiate characteristic service brands of party construction. The original program of three types of party building course was considered a golden brand of party building work, winning the second prize in the provincial administrative system micro-course competition and the top ten lecturer in the provincial party branch secretary contest. The digital and smart retailing & the affluent pioneers party building matrix was selected as a typical case of the province's universities and enterprises joint efforts in the party construction. The case was set up as a benchmark of the province's collegiate party building work, reaching excellency in the party building and professional teaching and learning. The school party branch has won the title of excellent grassroots Party branch among the Zhejiang Provincial administrative departments. The Red Pioneer e Party building Studio, creating an online Party member's room program has won the provincial university party building double hundred demonstrations project award.
Strong professional team. The school has 118 faculty and staff, among whom 37 are professors or associate professors, one has the honor of national excellent teacher, one provincial renowned teacher, one provincial outstanding teacher, one provincial vocational education creative teaching team, one provincial level teaching team, one provincial demonstrative teaching team in political science, four provincial professional leaders, one committee member of the national education advisory committee and one committee member of the national vocational education advisory committee. Many of them have won the honors of being provincial 151 talents, excellent provincial collegiate communist party members , excellent provincial supply and marketing cooperatives party members, and excellent teachers of the Zhejiang Farmer’s University. The faculty has won the second prize in the national teaching capacity contest and the first prize in the provincial contest. Eighteen teachers have been selected into the ZJIET 123-talent echelon and backbone teacher team.
Remarkable school-enterprise cooperation. Adhering to the talent training concept of being integrity-based and practical first, the school has carried out an in-depth school-enterprise cooperation and continuously promoted the integration of production and education. An on-campus digital trade training center has been built, with an area of about 8800 square meters and homing four full-size campus productive training bases. Through the in-depth cooperation with Lianhua Huashang, Golden Arch, IKEA, Huazhu Hotel, Xinda Sanyuan Holding Group, Yiwang Network, Haina Linke International, Hangzhou Qianhang Translation Agency, Hangzhou Holme Technology and over 50 well-known enterprises, the school has established Lianhua College, Maimiao College, Seashui College, SF Express College and other industrial schools. It is a fruitful education result, winning high praises from enterprises. In the cooperation, 11 projects have been selected into the second phase of the Ministry of Education's supply and demand employment-docking education project. The on-campus training base (foreign language training base) was approved to be a provincial demonstration training base in 2011.
Fruitful achievements of educational reform and scientific research. The school has two national quality courses opening online, seven provincial ones, six provincial ones that are still under construction. As far as textbooks compiling is concerned, there are three enlisted into the national “14th Five Year Plan”, one in the national 13th Five Year Plan, 12 in the provincial 13th Five Year Plan new form textbooks, and six are elected as provincial key textbooks. Fifteen courses are enlisted as school-level quality courses. Two teaching research projects have been approved as the 14th Five Year Plan Zhejiang Higher Vocational education teaching reform projects and another two projects were selected as the Five-in-one industry-university cooperative education projects of Zhejiang Province. About research, the school faculty has gained one national social science fund and more than 30 provincial projects covering humanities and social science sponsored by the Education Ministry, philosophy and social science planning projects sponsored by Zhejiang Province, and soft science sponsored by the Science and Technology Department. Three academic monographs have been published and more than 50 papers in core journals.
Extensive and quality social services. Relies on industry organizations such as the National Supply and Marketing Committee, the Human Resources and Social Security Committee, and the Chain Management Association, the school improves its service level and ability in the industries. It has representatives participating in the national professional standards formulation of brand planning and operation, cashier and tally clerk. Accumulated, more than 20,000 new professional farmers have been trained, more than 5million yuan value of agricultural products have been sold, and more than 50 planning services have been planned. The social training of teachers has accumulated to more than 2,500 people per day in a single year. These numbers are remarkable. The research results of Hangzhou municipal garbage management research were positively approved by Wu Jing, vice chairman of the provincial CPPCC and chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Democratic Revolution.
Distinctive characteristics of talent training. There are currently more than 3,500 students enrolled in the school. A number of characteristic student work platforms have been built, such as Sunflower House, Zisheng Lecture Hall, Young Eagle Training Camp and Golden Seed Lecture Group. Various campus cultural activities are held regularly to enrich students' campus life and improve their professional skills, say, foreign language culture month and so on. The students have won many awards in competitions at all levels, including six national competition awards, one gold award in the Internet+ competition, the first prize in the challenge cup national vocational school Innovation and efficiency entrepreneurship competition. In a total, students have participated in various competitions above the provincial level, and won more than 80 awards. The quality of graduates has been highly praised by their employers.
